The MultiRim Development Process
While every project that we work on is unique, we generally have the same series of steps that we complete to bring a project from inception to reality.
- Initial Contact: You reach out to us to have a preliminary conversation about your project. We get initial details, current stage of planning, and discuss possible approaches.
- Digital Design: If a digital design file exists, share it with us. Based on this file, we will provide best practice recommendations for moulding and interior structural design to ensure the exterior of the part looks exactly as you have designed it.
- Mould Design and Quotes: Once the moulding approach is finalized, we will provide a quote for the cost of the tooling that is required, this typically includes a pattern and a mould for each part that is required, and a quote for the per part price.
- First Samples: When you are ready to proceed, we will take care of having the pattern and mould created, keeping you up to date along the way. Once the mould is complete, we will send sample of your part(s) in a selection of densities to ensure you get exactly the feel that you are looking for.
- Production: Once you have selected your density, we will move the part into production and await your orders. We will store and maintain your mould for as long as you need parts.
Regardless of where you might be in your design process, we are happy to support you. We can also discuss using moulds that you already have. Our goal is to meet your needs while providing expert advice that will help to maximize your tooling dollars and the quality of your final product.
