Combined Density and Firmness Seating

Depending on the application, the way a seat feels, or the “sit”, will be adjusted to meet the needs of the user. Do you want the sit to initially very supportive and move into more contoured support? Do you want a soft luxurious feel that is able to maintain support over long periods? Whatever you are looking for, we can accomplish it. 

One effective way to get the sit just right is by using multiple layers, types of foam, or firmness of foams. The sit of a chair can be modified to make it better at distributing an individual’s weight over the seating surface to provide greater comfort, or even to give the seat more springiness (resilience).

We made this executive chair extremely comfortable and resilient by molding a visco-elastic (memory) foam layer directly onto a High Resilient (HR) Foam layer to achieve a high level of comfort and support.

The exact right sit can also be achieved using a combination of high-resilient foams, moulded directly together or glued. 

If cost savings is also a consideration, the core can be made of cut foam.
