Simple Inner Steel Supports. Foam Parts that Impress.

We can customize the density and firmness to meet nearly any requirement from our customers. This means that some designs can be made up of flexible foam alone and still stand up to daily use. When these designs do require more support, we provide several options. Of course, rigid foam embedded in flexible foam is great but sometimes, because of the required look, weight, or designers’ preference, simple steel tubes or bent steel flat bars are the preferred choice. 

In these cases, a simple steel tube and bent steel flat bar frame is molded into Solid HR Foam. This foam part is fastened to a plywood base. As with other structural solutions, straight, concave, and convex shapes are possible. Additionally, the internal structure of this application can be designed for modular applications. In the example below, the single seat club chair is cut in half to create the right and left sectional sofa ends.
